SRFはすでにただの新興宗教と化しています。
ヨガナンダがレッスンにまとめたクリヤヨガも、
肝心の行法が省かれているなど、
スリ・ユクテスワラの他の弟子からの系統のクリヤヨギからも批判を受けています。
あるヨギの自叙伝もSRFにとって不都合な部分が削除されていたり、
ヨガナンダ自身が見栄を張ってかなり誇張した書き方をしている部分もあります。
ちなみにパラマハンサという称号はスリ・ユクテスワラは授けていません。
ヨガナンダが側溝に立小便をしていたのをユクテスワラがたまたま目撃し、
からかい半分に、おやおやヨガナンダが白鳥にでもなってしまったみたいだぞ、
と揶揄しただけです。

Read it in 1978 and found this old edition by the trash at Park ave,NYC some 30 years ago.I did some work in the building and this book was from a lady that just passed on at the time,and Yogananda signed her copy!

Human love requires human meriting and is subject to whims of feeling; but God's love is unconditional, eternal, unchanging.

Close your eyes, put your attention on the heart, and feel the greatest love that you ever felt for another person. Let that love saturate every cell of your body. Now expand the feeling of love, like an encircling sphere embracing your family, friends, all your loved ones. Feel your love ever increasing; include in that sphere all the people in your city, then all of your country. Now everything in the world is bathed in that love. Great teacher will never counsel you to be neglectful, they will teach you to be balanced. You have to work, no doubt, to feed and clothe the body. But if you allow one duty to contradict another, it is not a true duty. Thousands of businessmen are so busy gathering wealth, they forget that they are creating a lot of heart disease too ! If duty to prosperity makes you forget duty to health, it is not duty. One should develop in a harmonious way. There is no use giving special attention to developing a wonderful body, if it houses a peanut brain. The mind also must be developed. And if you have excellent health and prosperity and intellect, but you are not happy, then you have still not made a success of your life.
When you can truthfully say, " I am happy, and no one can take my happyness away from me," you are a king --- you have found the image of God within you. Be proud of that image within. In reality, time does not exist. In God, everything goes on in the present. The secret of happiness is to live fully in the here and now, aware of God’s bliss.

Unfortunately, very few people even attempt to live in the present. Most live in the past, filled with nostalgia or regrets, or in the future, filled with hopes or fears born of desire. More than any other factor, desires and attachments, keeping people focused on the past or future, prevent them from living fully in the present.

"World Crisis" by Paramahansa Yogananda

Never before in the history of this land has there been so deep a contrast in living standards as will visit this country — the contrast between riches and poverty.

The Cause of the Crisis
Everything employed for exchange had to have some value. One metal used was iron, but it was too cheap and too heavy. Copper also was tried, then silver, and finally gold. These metals were chosen because their qualities and relative scarcity made them valuable. Not only were they prized for making coins, utensils, and ornaments, but for making medicines as well. Gold, for example, purifies the blood, and iron enriches it. No matter how the gold standard rises or falls, that value no one will be able to take away from gold. It was most highly treasured because of its scarcity and its beauty, and because it does not tarnish. For these reasons, it was used extensively for ornaments. But the present generation has tired of gold. Always seeking something new, they choose platinum now, which is of greater value than any of the other metals, yet looks like silver!
