Details are still emerging, but we know that Thailand's King Vajiralongkorn was shot by a German teenager with a BB gun on the evening of June 10 while cycling naked near Munich.
He was not injured but his entourage panicked and called the police.
June 10 was Global Naked Bike Ride Day 2017 and Vajiralongkorn may have been taking part in the event, though this remains unconfirmed.
Thai junta has not yet released an official comment. More details coming as the story becomes clearer.
